Innovations in Cybersecurity Education
Build your writing portfolio and become a leader in cybersecurity education by entering the prestigious 2019 Innovations in Cybersecurity Education award and publication. Call for Participants in Pilot Program
The National CyberWatch Curriculum Standards Panel is looking for participants to join the Information Security Fundamentals Readiness Assessment. This pilot program will run until Sept. 30 and is designed to identify mastery or diagnose deficiencies in understanding topics required to demonstrate readiness for an Information Security fundamentals course. The assessment is anonymous.

Professionalism in Nursing
This month, National CyberWatch is highlighting cybersecurity content that can be integrated in a Health Informatics program, courtesy of the University of Hawaii Maui College. Instructors can access resources, such as health care law, a case study of malware in healthcare , as well as a lab exercise in training a neural network for medical image processing.

Simplified Registration Process
The Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) has taken the headache out of registration by offering Academic Partnerships. No more waiting until the new fiscal year or dealing with multiple registrations. Connect with like-minded faculty, industry organizations, professional associations, and students quickly and easily. Academic partners can receive up to 35 comped registration packages and disseminate content through the 3CS community.

Corporate Faculty for Blockchain
Applications are being accepted for corporate faculty positions that will support a partnership between Harrisburg University and Allegro Learning Solutions to deliver Blockchain boot camps in Philadelphia. The graduate program and boot camps are prepared curriculum taught in a blended format with online content and face-to-face weekend sessions over four months. Faculty will deliver prepared curriculum, advise students in the classroom, advise students in career preparation and serve as the Blockchain subject matter expert for Harrisburg University.

CSEC2Y- StrawDog Draft
In early 2018, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) endorsed its first curricular volume for cybersecurity designed for four-year institutions — CSEC2017. The ACM Committee for Computing Education in Community Colleges (CCECC) formed a task force to create a similar cybersecurity curriculum guidance for two-year programs. The first draft of that content (CSEC2Y), StrawDog, is available for review through April 15.

The Pathway of Apprenticeships
Learn how community colleges working with industry partners can create pathways to in-demand, high-wage, high-technology jobs through a dual model apprenticeship. This innovative and collaborative effort pioneered a secure software development degree that incorporated the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute’s (CMU/SEI’s) software assurance curriculum recommendations at the community college level and is aligned with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.
